Rebecca Mader, who was recently added to the list of recruits joining the new season of Lost, revealed a little bit about her character on the highly-watched series in a radio interview. As of now, the producers of Lost are still secretive about who's new in the bandwagon, and what will take place in the upcoming season. However, we do know now that Mader's character was made British after the producers met her, as they saw her fit for the role. As for a little bit of backgrounder on the 40-year-old actress, she was born in Cambridge, England and began a career as a model in New York for a year, where she worked for L'Oreal, Colgate and Wella Hair. She turned down a permanent role on All My Children, and worked on the soap as Morgan Gordon instead. Her television credits include Third Watch, Guiding Light, One Life to Live, Justice and Private Practice. As for her interview, Mader was first asked on which group of characters she belonged to and she replied, "no comment." She was then asked if she was a fan of the show prior to the offer, and she said that she knew about the show, but had not watched a single episode of it. She was then given three sets of DVDs and she locked herself up in her hotel room to watch them on marathon. The experience apparently left the actress impressed, as she excitedly admitted that the show was addicting. Mader then revealed some vague notes about her character, saying that she will be appearing on the island itself. Moreover, she discussed how surreal it was to be in the world of Lost after her marathon with the previous seasons. She also described rehearsing a scene where she was laying in a jungle with several of the series regulars gathered around of. These bits and pieces wouldn't make out a clear picture of who she is and her purpose in the island, but we can assume that her character may be staying for good, as she is so interested to dive into the Lost mythology. Anyway, whatever we make of these tidbits are good enough to stir some talk for the upcoming season of Lost, and wake up the viewers who are highly anticipating it.
