I simply broke my second Cannon 50mm lens. The research is at this point complete, which is official; the 50mm lens will not do well whenever bounced on concrete from the height of four feet. It's f/14 broad aperture makes it a great choice for little light pictures. Personally, i have used this to take pictures in concerts without a adobe flash and got outstanding images. Another benefit of this lens has been (its now previous tense) when using this a portrait zoom lens. The Bokeh rocks !. Though it is just not the lens of preference for professional symbol shooters, it does an extremely great job. Then 2-3 weeks ago, I got at a senior high school basketball game, plus a friend was using action shots utilizing the f/14 zoom lens. She said it had been a lot better than the actual 70-200mm telephoto lens for 2 factors. First, really wide aperture has been perfect during a workout session using its challenging lighting set up. Second, she has been shooting on the health club floor, and the Cannon 70-200mm lens was too much to catch all of the action.
