Library signage is an important part of the library facility. It helps people know what kinds of books are present on the shelf or their Dewey Decimal Classifications. It also lets people know the rules and regulations as well as attracts attention to notifications or any other memos that the library has. Nowadays, libraries include interactive zones where individuals can talk and share their knowledge to one another. Of course the library signage should clearly define where they are so that there would be no confusion. Quiet zones should also be identified along with the rules and regulations one must follow while in the area. Again the quiet zone signage should be big but should be few so as not to create an illusion of untidiness. Librarian counters should have a library signage that is big enough to be seen by individuals. Since this Is the main spot where books are returned and checked out, as well as information and queries are raised, library goers should see its location even from afar. Other parts of the library that may be hidden should have a library signage to instruct people how to go there and what those hidden areas contain. Library signage is essential to the overall order of the facility because it provides direction, labels contents and helps designate different areas of the place.
