Some of the popular model of the watch that was available during that time was Minerva, Lecoultre etc. It was after 20th century all of these watch manufacturing company were given the certificate to continue with their manufacturing of the watch. After the certification only different design of watches were found in the market. With the advancement of technology it is now a day possible to get wrist watch. After the invention of the wrist watch people no longer make the use of the pocket watches. Now a day you will find the pocket watch in the museum as most of the people do not prefer to make use of this type of watch. But recently the popularity of the pocket watch is increasing because the watch designer is now making use of latest technology to make the pocket watch. This type of watch is also available in the market in different design and model. You can also present the pocket watch to your uncle, father, brother, husband, friend etc during any occasion like birthday, wedding party, anniversary etc. The pocket watches that were available in the market during 1950 were made up of heavy material like iron. But with the advancement of technology now a day you are getting watches that are designed in light weight. The pocket watch that you used to get in the past was also big in size but gradually the size of the pocket watch also reduced. The pocket watch that you get now is very small in size which you can easily keep in the pocket of your shirt or pant. In the earlier days the price of the pocket watches were also more but gradually the price of the watch reduced. In the earlier days the pocket watches were made with metal like gold, silver and were decorated with diamond. But now a day the watches are made up of stainless steel. Because of this the price and the weight of the watch also reduced. This type of watch is also popular among the people because of its simple and elegant look. Some of this type of watch comes with a chain attached to it which you can fix in the button hole of your shirt. The pocket watches also comes with different types of features in it.
