1. Quality - There are surely lots and lots of brands of a radio control helicopter. But not all of them have the capability to last long. In fact, it is very hard to find one that can last for at least a year without being been broken. This is why you need to make sure that the one you are buying is of good quality. You would know this by having it tested. Ask the store keeper or salesman if he can run a test-fly with it. You may also ask some friends for preferences. 2. Design - Nobody would want to fly a toy helicopter that has boring designs and a single color on it. Try to look for modified ones. When I say modified, I mean having special and specific designs on it. For example, an army-helicopter with toy rail guns and missiles attached to it. You may also ask the store if they can customize your radio control helicopter according to your desire. 3. Range of Flight - Radio control helicopters and all radio-controlled toys have one thing in common - they have limited range. You have to compare different brands of them to determine which one has the furthest range. The wider the range, the more fun you could get. 4. Controls - A radio control helicopter obviously needs a remote to operate it. But some have only limited controls. For example, you can make your helicopter fly forward only, and no more. You need to find a helicopter that offers a lot of controls with it. An example of a good radio control helicopter has to be able to move, turn, ascend, and descend while flying on air. You should also check its speed when flying. 5. Safety - When you are buying a radio control helicopter for your child, you might also want to consider its safety level. There are some that has sharp edges. This definitely can harm your child and even you, adults. That's why if you want everyone's safety above else, you will consider checking the toy for any sharp edges, parts, or pieces before deciding to buy it. It doesn't matter if the design is not that cool, for as long as it offers you more safety, you're good. Now you are all set to fly your radio control helicopter. These cool toys vary in many prices. Practically, if you don't want to waste your money, don't go for cheaper ones as these will just break easily compared to the pricey ones. And always remember that safety is more important than fun. Enjoy flying!
