A woman who is too thin may also hinder pregnancy as the body lacks the required strength and nutrition. • Again, obesity may also hamper the chances of conceiving. The hormonal imbalance affects the reproductive system and gets in the way of getting pregnant. Similarly, men too become unable to induce pregnancy in their partner if they suffer from obesity, anorexia, damage to scrotum or gonads, undescended testicles, exposure of the testicles to the heat, wearing tight underwear, etc., may also render a person unable to induce pregnancy in his partner. Infertility may be caused due to various factors like the ones given below: • Any damage that has been caused to the ovaries during past surgeries, tumor, infections or cyst in the ovary may also lead to production of immature eggs • Hormonal imbalance too leads to production of immature eggs which cannot induce pregnancy • Follicular problems and premature menopause can be another reason why a woman cannot conceive • Smoking, drinking, use of drugs etc., also lessen the chances of becoming a parent The treatment for infertility involves the following: • Treating tubal blockage: In order to remove the areas of blockage, Laparoscopy is done • Treating sperm problem: The patient is given drugs that improve the quality of sperm and count • Treating age related problem: It’s known that with growing age the chances to conceiving decrease. In such a case the woman is given spleen and care for kidney to help keep the pregnancy related problems away. The woman needs to follow the treatment procedure properly and same goes for the male partner too. This is worth all the pain to get the happiness of a lifetime.
