Many previous owned heavy operational vehicles will come with a certified status. This means there is a warranty on it that's backed by the original fire truck manufacturer. Not all vehicles qualify for previously owned certified status. An essential part of any firefighting vehicle is the ladder. Many used fire trucks have lit ladder rungs for firefighters when climbing up at night or in Smokey conditions. Check that the truck has an undamaged ladder that can pass all tests and inspections. Check to see if the truck has a generator. This can come in handy on so many occasions when the blaze is taking much longer to control than expected. Extra bright flood lights are critical so, your firefighters can do their job at any time of the day or night and in any weather conditions.
