The value of Mediumship will be largely dependent on the person that is observing the psychic at work. For someone that has lost a child or a close loved one the value of Mediumship may be extremely high. These people may feel the need to have some assurance from their deceased loved one that they are okay. They may also be looking for the medium to give them answers concerning what happened to their loved one to cause their untimely demise. To some other people the value of Mediumship would be little to none at all because they do not have a desire to speak to anyone that has gone on before them. A medium is said to be a person that has the abilities to communicate with people in the spirit world realm. Sometimes they can target the people they are going to speak to and some of them can only accept messages from the spirit that appears with no control of who this spirit will be. A medium does not necessarily have the power to see the future or to tell you what things may be going to occur in your life. They may not even be able to clearly see everything that has happened in the past. What they can do is receive communications from another realm and allow us to have some contact with spirits that inhabit worlds other than our own. A lot of times the spirits are just as determined to speak to the living as the living are to speak to the dead. Some of the mediums will be able to perform acts of physical paranormal phenomena like the ability to levitate objects. It is not uncommon for a medium to have more powers of psychic abilities than just the ability to speak to the dead. It is not uncommon for people who are being instructed in things by a spirit to go into a trance or do things like automatic writings or automatic drawings to reveal the messages they are given. The medium is not always aware of the things they are saying or doing while they are revealing things that the spirits want revealed. These people have even been known to speak in languages they had no prior knowledge of and to talk on intimate and private subjects that they had no prior knowledge of.
