The same material was also excellent as inner walls under a canvass roof as they were artfully designed/“embroidered”. That gives us an inkling of the vanity of man cloaked in aesthetic art. Our own reasons for using the carpet may have been the same reasons why the carpet was invented and used by its first owners. Aside from the cosy atmosphere artfully designed interiors render a room or hall, carpets also served as a shield against the cold on floors and walls. They feel good and warm especially under bare feet. Besides, we cannot deny that a room’s beauty is enhanced with either or both floor and wall carpeting. So, with or without knowledge of its history and origin, the modern earthling loves having carpets around. Man has to put up with the responsibility of maintaining the cleanness and good looks that comes with owning carpets. After all, who wants to have shabby-looking, worn-out and smelly carpets?
