Have you ever heard the Rhino story? This is a story about how we all go through life being conditioned to think a certain way to keep some else happy. This will hopefully open your eyes up to the options you have in life, so I am going to explain what I mean by the Rhino story then relate it to how you are the Rhino. It was about a herd of cows that had grown up together. They all ate together, slept together, grazed together. Day in day out, year in year out they did the same thing all the time. They were conditioned to be a certain way and were fine with that because they were taken care of by the farmer. They were given food and shelter and in return they did as they were told. But in the middle of them was one that felt different, had thicker skin, had different aspirations and wanted more in life than just living the life of mediocrity. He knew his heart wasn’t in being like the rest of the cows. But didn’t understand why he would want to give up the security of being looked after on the farm and wanting to be different from all his friend and family. He was confused and didn’t know what to do about his feelings. ( and no I am not talking about him coming out of the closet). Then one day instead of being in the middle of the field he decided to just sit on the edge of the field by himself. It was here that when he looked around he saw a greener pasture through the hills and mountains, and knew that was where he wanted to be. He knew there and then that was what he was going to do, even though he didn’t know how to get there. That was all he would dream about for days. It was a dream big enough to wake him up early and keep him up late every day. So one day he broke free from the fences and made his way to the greener pastures. Along the way he came across obstacles, hurdles and 101 reasons for him to turn back and get back into his comfort zone, but still decided to persevere because he knew he had made his mind up in wanting something better for himself. He wasn’t focusing on what he didn’t want he just visualised being on the greener pasture. Eventually he got to the greener pasture and the sense of satisfaction of was amazing. When he looked back at what he had to overcome to get there he saw the pasture where he came from, and do you know what he saw? He saw a heard of Rhino’s. He then realised he too was a Rhino and understood why he felt different. It all made sense all of a sudden. His only concern was that the rest of the heard were all made to believe they were cows. They were all conditioned to think and act the way the farmer wanted them to be. The plus side was that he knew he had finally broken free from the brainwashing. He knew he probably wasn’t the only one who felt the way he did, but he was the only one to take action on his dream. That is the only difference between the successful and the unsuccessful in life, taking action on dreams and carrying on when others give up. Hopefully you can see how this relates to people who are employed and online marketing entrepreneurs. The employed are the Rhino’s who are led to believe they are cows. You can carry on being brainwashed to think that the job you are in that gives you a pay check and hence allows you to meet your financial commitments and look after your family. You can carry on thinking it’s OK to climb someone else’s career ladder, get paid a tenth of how much you make your employer, have your working hours and holidays dictated to you. Oh and have the threat of bonus cuts, pay cuts, redundantcies etc coupled with working for a boss (who is probably not qualified to be in that role) and all the stress and pressure of the goals and targets you need to achieve marinated with the red tape buearocricies of work. I bet you go home with a huge smile on your face and jump out of bed eager to get there every morning…right? All because you get a regular pay check? If you have been employed all your life and were under the impression there such a thing as a job for life the current economic climate is probably opening your eyes up to the harsh realities of the world, especially if you have been laid off from work yet still have all your financial commitments to honour as well as a family to support. This is where a ton of people resort to the internet as their alternative because of the bigger pay checks to be had. But if you are a technophobe this can be such a scary thought, right? More and more technophobes are turning to the internet and actually making a ton of money. The age old myth of ‘you have to be a computer geek to make money online’ is out of the window now( apologies to all the computer geeks ). People from all walks of life, with different educations, backgrounds and occupations are finding success as online marketers. They are living the lifestyle of their design, working the hours they chose and writing their own pay checks from the comfort of their own home. The only thing that stops lots of people from joining this entrepreneurial revolution is the mindset and the fear of doing something new. They are brainwashed to thinking they are cows and that they have to work for someone else, because that is all they have done. But in life the biggest enemy you will face is the voice inside your head. Once you control this you can achieve anything, just like the Rhino that broke free in the story. The concept of working the hours that you chose, from home and writing your own pay checks, being your own boss and being able to spend more time with my family completely floored me. It was then I decided to take my life into my own hands and that I was going to learn the skills necessary to write my own pay check for life. Now that a technophobe such as myself has achieved it, my mission is to inspire others who are wanting to get out of the rat race of life and achieve their dreams though internet marketing. In life people succumb to the mediocrity of life simply by not knowing exactly what options are available to them. It’s like that scene from ‘The Matrix’, when Morpheus gives Neo the option of taking the red pill or the blue pill. Let me show you how deep the rabbit hole goes my friend.
