Since there are various types of mediumships, Physical Mediumship is one of the types of these medium services. This type of Mediumship has been defined as the communication between a medium and a spirit entity via the moving of objects by the spirit in response to the medium thus completing the cycle of communication. This means that the sitter or person seeking answers from a deceased person would not be in a position to understand a single thing being communicated by the deceased without the help of the medium. This process also requires that the medium concentrates hard so as to be able to communicate effectively with the spirit. Lack of total concentration on the mediums part during Physical Mediumship can jeopardize a lot of things especially in the sitter’s life since he or she would either get false information or no information at all depending on whatever information the medium is able to gather during a session. Although Physical Mediumship involves some aspect of being “possessed” by the spirit, it is still very much different from trance mediumship in the sense that, in trance, the medium is just a vessel that the spirit uses to manifest his own being and can be said that one can ‘see’ the actual deceased person. However in physical, this is not exactly the case since it involves having the medium physically do things that give answers to the seeker such as making drawings.
