Cancer Nutrition and Intravenous Nutrients a Must

Health
It was discovered by the late John Myers that by delivering nutrients intravenously, patients often experienced dramatic improvement with a number of clinical conditions. Orthomolecular medicine, or the study of nutrition, has its early roots at the beginning of this century. The science’s architecture is typically credited to Linus Pauling who won Chemistry’s Nobel Prize in 1968. Many of his papers targeted the importance of nutrition.

When it comes to cancer nutrition, the same holds true – more specifically nutrition delivered intravenously. While today’s formulas are far more advanced than those of Dr. Myers’ intravenous push – they are still used to boost the immune system post-chemotherapy and –radiation.

Patients Really Benefit From Intravenous Therapy with Cancer Nutrition

Serum concentrations (blood levels) for nutrients delivered intravenously are far superior to those administered via oral or intramuscular injections. Many vitamins have therapeutic benefits, only when provided in adequate dosages, and typically those dosages may only be effectively administered directly into circulation. And when they are, patients can typically notice more energy and stamina. In addition to feeling better, they will stay hydrated and avoid some complications other patients experience due to nutritional deficiencies.

Quality & Quaintly achieved in Intravenous and not Oral Vitamins

The quality, purity, and dosages of intravenous nutrients are light years beyond that of oral vitamins. With the over-the-counter varieties, the body’s GI lining is not equipped to fully absorb the available nutrition and the patient never receives therapeutically effective levels.

Factor in that cancer patients have incredible nutritional needs, a patient that lacks adequate nutrition will likely experience extraordinary fatigue coupled with a weakening of the body’s defense mechanisms. Intravenous nutrition delivered in therapeutic dosage levels often triggers a virtually immediate, positive patient response.

No More Antioxidants, Says the Oncologist!

Chemotherapy and radiation use Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS), also known as free radicals, to perform their cancer cell-killing function. And because of a misguided study in the 1970s, many oncologists wrongly recommend the cessation of anti-oxidants to their patients.

The aforementioned study was conducted by the Mayo Clinic more than 30 years ago, in an attempt to show that antioxidants could actually stop chemotherapy’s action. Mayo sought to undermine Linus Pauling’s research which was contrarian to their conventional protocols.

However, the study fell short, focusing only on oral vitamin C delivery, completely ignoring results delivered in intravenous models. Unfortunately, the misguided report got out, and many oncologists still hold to this drastically inaccurate position.

Ultimately this has led to the surprising lack of cancer nutrition education provided in modern day medical and fellowship rotations. Rather, the singular focus remains the unwavering “pharmaceuticals only,” approach.

What is so ironic about this situation is that intravenous high-dose Vitamin C when administered actually functions as an oxidative therapy by creating more ROS which actually potentiates chemotherapy. In simple terms, it makes the chemo work significantly better while improving well-being and quality of life in the process. Cancer Nutrition Requires Therapeutic Results

Cancer patients seeking to achieve therapeutic results with oral vitamins are going to wind up wasting time and money. The necessarily high dosages of such bioavailable nutrients are simply unattainable orally, due to unpleasant side effects like diarrhea. Moreover, the human GI system is simply unable to absorb recommended levels – this is a major reason why intravenous delivery is a must.

First of all, with intravenous nutrition a patient can likely avoid complications from hypovitaminosis, a deficiency cause by degenerative disease and medications. Moreover, patients will decidedly benefit from their levels being restored as well as an enhancement of their day to day healing and recovery times.

Simply put, intravenous vitamins have direct pharmacological effects and are undeniably more effective than most oral and intramuscular vitamins.

Electrolytes and Hydration Imperative for Cancer Nutrition

A decrease in electrolytes and physiological fluid can be catalyzed by a number of chronic conditions – a situation that can severely impair a body’s cells. By delivering intravenous nutrients can quickly remedy these dangerous bi-products of disease and aggressive treatments.

A Simple Intravenous Cancer Nutrition Case Study

Without intravenous delivery, vitamin C is not effective or therapeutic to those suffering with chronic conditions and cancer. Typically, delivery of this important vitamin is bolstered with up to twenty additional nutrients including amino acids, minerals, and other essential vitamins.

A Need for Ongoing Intravenous Cancer Nutrition

While intravenous therapy is used during treatment protocol for patients who have chronic conditions and cancer, it may also be administered to maintain health and bolster immune function in others. Each individual case determines dosages and at times, does allow for oral nutrients to be used in conjunction with the intravenous to help establish a healthy balance within the body.

Intravenous Therapy of Great Help to Elderly Cancer Patients

The elderly are even more likely to experience fatigue as their GI systems become less effective over the years. For this reason, older patients should undoubtedly be on a regimented schedule of intravenous nutrients to keep them healthy and active. There is a stunning difference between those that do, and those that do not.

Intravenous Cancer Nutrition for Anxiety, Depression, and Stress

Beyond restoring vitamin levels, electrolytes, and eradicating dehydration, intravenous nutrients can also help to remedy anxiety and depression by improving mental states and aiding the nervous system. Let’s face it; dealing with chronic illness is stressful in and of itself. Those emotions can be compounded by poor nutritional support. Why would anybody wish to subject themselves to that?

What to Do When Told to “Watch and Wait”

Cancer nutrition requires on average, two to three times the serum concentrations in the blood, in order to maintain healthy antioxidant, vitamin, amino acid, and mineral levels. So in order for patients to have the tools to repair themselves, intravenously is among the strongest methods available to protect the body against numerous diseases. Intravenous cancer nutrition works best when coupled with a diet for cancer.
