How To Avoid Internet Marketing Scams Here is a quick guide in how to avoid internet marketing scams. If you are new or even if you are experienced this should help you spend your money wisely instead of foolishly. Try not to feel too bad if you have been stung, because you are not alone. I have a few mugs, t shirts etc of having taken the wrong turning onto ‘Scam Boulevard’, and checked in at the ‘Get screwed over Hotel’. With there being no formal education in this arena it is very much a case of learning the hard way, and the scam artists know this. What they do is no different to the marketing you are bombarded with on a daily basis that play on a simple concept. That simple concept is that we have been brainwashed into think there is a magic pill, potion or lotion that will cure us...without us having to do it the old fashioned way of putting in the effort. As a society we have been led to believe being lazy is OK, because we can buy something of the shelf that will fix it. They make us believe we can buy their product and it will make you lose weight, look younger, stop smoking, get into shape, last longer in bed etc etc. We have bought into the lottery mentality. Internet marketing scam artists do the same, selling you on the salacious headlines of making money in your sleep with their push button technology which can make you 100’s of thousands of dollars and only cost $39.95. You know the one’s I am talking about right? So here is a 3 step guide in how to avoid internet marketing scams. The first thing to look out for is those ‘jive ass turkeys’ that try and teach you things they haven’t even experienced themselves. Those will be those sales letters you will come across on a regular basis written by people who haven’t actually earned much from it, but are promising you that you will. They are trying to sell information, information that is normally out of date anyway. They read books, purchase courses, get information from the web and forums, then regurgitate it with their own spin on it and try and sell it as theirs. Trying to make themselves out to be the expert. Apply your due diligence and do your ‘Columbo style’ investigation into the individual, to see if their walk matches their talk. If not, then you walk away!! The second thing to note about these ‘bottom feeders’ is whether they are using high pressure techniques. The type that work on the method of scarcity, the ‘one time’ offer that will end today, the one that for today only is offering 1000’s of dollars worth of products free as a bonus..If you sign up today. They try and make you feel like a fool if you pass up their ‘amazing offer’ and even have a counter added to the page of how many are left. This will be the litmus test, the next time you see this scarcity timer make a note of how many are left, log of the page and go back 24hrs later and see what the tally is then. The genuine offers will have gone, the not so genuine one’s will still be there trying to get the next sucker. The offers I find hilarious are the ones for sofa’s here in the UK. There is always the ‘call to action’ to buy their reduced priced stock because the offer ‘will end this weekend’. The funny thing is that the offer goes on all year long!!! I never realised weekend lasted that long. Again if you come across an offer on the internet that is pressuring you to buy just walk away. The third and final, and most important thing to look out for from these ‘toilet wipes’ is the lies. Things like offering you something worth 100’s of dollars for free, but then realising you have to buy something in order to get that free thing they offered you. Obviously the word free to them in their special dictionaries means what you and I would class as discounted. These are the type of hooks these punks use to catch their prey. So in summary if you come across any of the above, anything that sounds too good to be true, something that does fully explain everything in a way that makes sense to you, something that can’t give you real proof then the choice you have is very simple. Exit out of the browser and feel good in the fact you know you have learnt a valuable lesson in how not to do it and saved yourself money at the same time. Remember to just walk away.
