Getting the educational degree in Criminology is a very important and serious step to the future career in the life of every individuality. People who are eager to get this kind of the degree will have to take many efforts to gain their goal. First of all, they will have to pass a series of tests that have been standardized and mandated by the specific college which the student attends or in which the student partakes. The main demands that the students need to perform in the case they are really eager to gain this kind of the educational degree is the awareness of the important basics of criminology and the relationship between crime and the public. This is the strong grounding that needs to include the profound knowledge of basic elements in the field. Here we should mention the three popular and widely spread beliefs that define different causes of crime and the criminal. The specialists called them as the schools of thought for Criminology. Of course, the majority of the criminology schools includes into their educational programs and plans the investigation and analysis of these different schools of thought in order to examine how people viewed the field in the different periods of time. It is also important to note the differences that take place over time. Some people are not aware of this fact, but more schools of thought after the performing the types of investigations made to the conclusions that there might be some kinds of link and connection between an individual and their chemical or genetic makeup. Even such elements, as hormones have been speculated to make a difference in this field. While investigating the various schools of thought, the people can get the information of the facts how time and scientific advances lead to a more individual understanding of how crime is produced. There a great variety of the special sciences and theories that have been developed in order to try to help explain what affected an individual and enticed them to commit a crime. The things that explain how society in general may have contributed to this calling are also included into such theories. Lombroso believed that a criminal is born with the particular defect, and that a man or woman that possessed the chemical and biological makeup of a criminal will have no choice but to succumb to that lifestyle. Supporters believe that this is the nature of the criminal, and nothing can influence the change of the personality or its outcomes. In the first investigations, the crime was expected, by individuals such as Cohen and Felson, to be a choice. The thoughts of these specialists were explained in the truth that the criminals could choose to make a different decision but due to indifference or lack of knowledge, these individuals refuse or have no desire to put the changes into their morality over the instant gratification that is rewarded by crime. These kinds of the criminology theories would make the tests and be attributed to the criminologists. Then they will become the subject of the further investigations to the students who are engaged in a criminology class, and preparing for the life that awaits them after graduation of the educational establishment. Of course, the investigations over the notion of the criminal mind and the rational mind would also surely help individuals to establish their own personal beliefs about criminology and the reactions of society and deviance. The important thing that should be taken into the consideration is organizing the work in the class in such a way where the students have the opportunity to work individually, to make their own investigations and analyses. It is important to allow individuals to examine these things, in order to encourage students taking part in a lesson plan for the material to be able to form their own opinion, without it being the suggestion of someone else. In this way, it can be suggested that bias does not affect the lives of the individuals that are studying criminology, or influence the way in which they think about or relate to crime. careers in criminal justice
