The beauty of spices and condiments is their use, blending, and their catalytic ability to enhance the taste, flavor, and aroma of food. They also add color and texture to food, creating a dish that is visually appealing as well. Here are a few varieties of gourmet condiments and kitchen storage you can find and a short guide on how to use them.

Spreads and tapenades are what will make for zesty dips to liven up your cocktail party. You can also find exotic condiments that can go wonderfully well with a variety of food. Choose the deliciously hot-and-sweet tang of red onion compote to complement cheeses and fruits – perfect for a wine and cheese party. Gourmet condiments like French dressings and sauces are a classic favorite. You are sure to find classics like Béarnaise, Aioli and Tartare gracing the shelves of anyone who loves flavorful cooking. If you are looking for a good non-alcoholic substitute for vermouth and wine in recipes, consider French verjus. It is an old medieval ingredient, commonly used instead of vinegar in sauces, soups, and dressings.

Salt is one of the most highly prized ingredients in the kitchen and is available in a wide variety of types. The fine sea salt from Noirmoutier, France is a delicate marine salt, which is hand-harvested, and being naturally rich in mineral salts and trace elements. This grey salt is a treasured ingredient. Hawaiian green bamboo sea salt is white Pacific sea salt infused with bamboo leaf extract that imparts a fresh green color and delicate essence. There are a range of other salts that are considered gourmet condiments like Himalayan pink salt, Hawaiian white-silver sea salt and black lava sea salt to name a few.

It is extremely essential to keep spices and condiments in airtight containers to protect them from humidity and moisture. which can affect their shelf life. Kitchen storage like spice racks, vacuum airpots as well as magnetic spice jars are some of the options available today. Though you can choose a traditional kitchen caddy to organize your condiments, a stacking condiment set might save you space while brightening up your kitchen with a colorful look. Flipper jars are a new trend in kitchen storage that keeps cheese, spices, and condiments fresh. The lid of the jar has a press-release mechanism that opens when the lid is held down with a finger and seals the jar completely when closed. With these tips, choose appropriate condiments and store them properly for a well-stocked kitchen.
