Some dishes are a taste masterpiece, but other taste are, let me just call tiresome. The bland meals though seem to be more convenient to cook and economical to cook. Though some recipes are a joy to make using just simple components that we will normally have already. Some are even simple to knock up even after a hard day. Right at the peak of the list of favourite fast and basic dinners surly is . Simply by its name you can guess it is from Italy and this often means a dinner. If like me, all you request from your recipe is a satisfied taste bud and a content tummy then this is what the Italians are fantastic at producing. This pasta recipe is extremely simple it is nice to get creative with and what it really encouraging, I bet you've already got plenty of the components in your larder as we speak, so what say you give it a go. The main ingredients are just pasta, butter, cream, cheese (preferably parmesan) and garlic, that's the beauty of fettucini alfredo. A touch of additional herbs with pepper and salt goes a long way in this dish so do not be shy, anyway like me you probably have an abundance in the pantry to try things with. Already with this basic dish you can instantly realise what more you can do. Most things thrown into a creamy pasta, like garlic to name one, tastes fantastic already. When I first tried this standard fettucini alfredo my head already started to wonder about the alternative components you could mix into it to create a very delicouse dinner. Imagine to yourself what blends great with a cheesy cream. Salmon goes great. I do this two of ways, first off smoked salmon broke up and stirred in. This is best done with cool salmon as the coolness and texture makes a beautiful contrast with the heated fettucini. One other way is to wrap the salmon in tin foil and cook it so that its moist and easily brakes up and then just spread it over the top. Lots of people try asparagus, leave it slightly crunchy, you don't boil it until it's too rubbery because it will lose the unique texture amongst the fettucini. For a handy weekend favorite I cook, even as a midnight munch after a boozy night out is pepperoni and mushroom. To do this I cook my fettucini alfredo and then spread pieces of pepperoni and mushroom all over till it's well coated. All I then do is pop it under the grill to toast the pepperoni and mushroom. Once you're happy with how its baked mix them in so that each fork of the meal has a tasty piece of mushroom or pepperoni on it. The spices and flavors and oils from the pepperoni leak into the alfredo sauce and it just gives it a neat kick.A basic snack like this you can really try new things. It's certainly cost effective to experiment with, adding that bit of something different can really make fettucini alfredo that extra bit more great. Obviously I'm a fan of making meals. My brother lives in Italy and this is where I get my ideas from. fettucini alfredo more great ideas
