It is possible to download legal movies and enjoy online free movies, but you can also still download illegal movies. However, since the U.S. government decided to crack down on peer to peer file sharing sites, and the UK shut down the streaming site RnBXclusive.com, it has become more difficult to find file sharing software sites that offer downloading membership sites - and even legal movie downloads. So let everybody stop complaining and crying over nothing, and get looking for what can still be downloaded - preferably legally, because there are still sites out there from which you can download unlimited movies legally for a lifetime membership - online free movies for a single payment - music is not so easy outside iTunes. Too many people are making too much noise, rather than keep their noses to the ground and download legal movies until all that noise settles down. The more people that stand up and complain about the legal closing of illegal websites, the more the authorities will believe there is a large number of such sites still to be dealt with. The recent UK Richard O'Dwyer case involved hacking of music and its dissemination to users online, and it likely deserved to be taken down for its blatant breach of the law. Since then, other sites have been targeted and the day of free downloads of bootleg movies and music appears to be nearing an end. It is no longer possible to find affiliate programs online that offer such services, but instead most are similar to Capital Movies, where members can download videos from a massive database of movies that have been pre-approved for downloading - although only by paid-up members. You pay one lifetime membership fee and can legally download the videos offered on the site. There are also a few streaming sites online where you can watch individual movies streamed to your computer, and paid for on an individual basis. Traditional P2P software seems to be finished, even though it is itself not illegal, and this is a shame because some young artists used it to get their name known. It's like banning computers because some people use them illegally to steal money! If such people made so much money that the artists are becoming poor (bless their little drug-addled hearts) then why could the movie companies not have offered online free movies from their own membership sites and made a killing themselves? They couldn't even protect files from being downloaded by using security features or even the necessity for a download key - amateurs beaten by kids? Nobody is ever going to answer that question. You can still download legal movies online, and you can still find many sites offering online free movies. To repeat, these are not P2P file sharing sites, but legal downloading of online free movies that are only free for members to download to their own computers.
