In January mobile retailer Carphone Warehouse and 3 teamed up to offer customers broadband on the go with a free laptop, making it cheaper and easier for people to get hold of laptops. Now PC World have a very similar offer, with a little advantage. High street retailer PC World are offering 3 broadband via their USB modem which comes for free on an 18 month contract. The contract costs just £35 per month, and can get speeds up to 2.8Mbps (which is the same as some home broadband packages), with a 3GB download limit. Any extra usage over the included allowance will be charged at just 10 pence per MB, and customers can also send 200 free text messages through their PC each month, meaning their mobile bill can be reduced too. While Carphone Warehouse are offering a Dell 1520 laptop with 80GB hard drive for free or 120GB hard drive for £49.99, PC World are offering £350 off any one of eight laptops in their range – meaning the more technical minded customer can get a laptop to suit their needs. The laptops range from a more basic Advent 9912 completely free to a high specification Sony VGN-AR51J for £499.99. So anyone looking for a new laptop or better broadband deal should take a look to see if this will save them their hard earned money!
