Callaway Irons Cleveland Driver Golf Clubs">A lot less equipment is needed when a person first starts golfing than many realize. Sure, there are a ton of bells and whistles that look like they’d be great fun to play with but you don’t need most of those until you have a few game basics down. Until then, you really can’t benefit from some of the more advanced pieces of golf equipment anyway. As you put together your starter golf kit, keep these important tools in mind. A good pair of golf shoes is the first thing you’ll need. You’ll be spending a lot of time on your feet as you play a game of golf so make sure the shoes you purchase fit your feet and are comfortable to wear. To avoid being uncomfortable during your first few games while breaking in your shoes, try wearing them off the course or to the driving range first. Check with the courses you will play most often to be sure that the spikes on your shoes are appropriate. Soft spike shoes are required for most courses in the U.S. Oddly enough, a golf umbrella happens to be an important piece of golf equipment. It doesn’t matter where you play, there can be sporadic storms. Regardless of your feelings of if you need protection from a little rain or not, the chances are good that your equipment does. Golf clubs are not inexpensive assets. It is in your best interest to defend them in the greatest way you can. In spite of what the shaft material is, the probability is good that the club heads are not impermeable to rust. An umbrella is a minor investment that will repay you well the first time you see yourself in a situation where you need it. The final piece of equipment you should invest in is a good set of beginner’s golf clubs. You don’t want to invest in the priciest set of clubs you can find when you’re first learning the game. When learning the game, you don’t know if you need steel shafts or flexible shafts. You don’t know what height is best for you. You won’t know if you need clubs that can help you with distance and control or if a pair of gloves would help you more. You’ll be better off starting small when buying starter golf equipment. Then you can add more expensive pieces one at a time until you have the set you are confident will help you accomplish all your goals on the course and at the driving range. This is how you get the most bang for your buck when getting started with the great game of golf.
