We can see the familiar connection between the Mayan fire ceremony and the new births, as described in the Long Count in 3114 B.C. How were they so advanced at this type of calculating? The Mayans seemed to understand this better then any other calculation of the time. How did they get this understanding? Recent excavations of figures from the Mayan culture resembled a man with an eagle head or looking like something from the heavens. Could this be the source of the Mayan knowledge? As we approach the doomsday near the end of 2012 which the ancient Mayan's prophesied would be the end of the last age. The start of the Mayan age was the birth of Venus on August 12, 3114 B.C. On the last day of the age December 22,2012 the cosmic connection between Venus and the sun. The Skyglobe is a DOS-based planetarium program written by Mark A. Haney. It includes a large catalogue of stars, constellations and other objects.
