After decades of research the absolute reasons of this dreadful disease are still unknown and there are many speculations in this regard as each researcher tries his best to find out the reason of this life taking disease so that by taking control of these reasons the risk can be reduced; however there are certain risk factors of this disease although some of the risk factors are in control of human beings while some are out of control and are equal for every woman around the world al risk factors are discussed in detail here
Gender
Gender is one of the most important risk factors to put women at increased risk of being attacked by the disease, however men and women both have the risk to be affected by this life threatening disease but the risk is not as higher for men as for women so women need to be more watchful about their breasts and the changes in this part of the body over the time which take place as the part of normal breast routine and if they don’t take place the woman figure can’t be attractive and beautiful, but along with the normal changes there are certain abnormal changes as well which can be the symptoms of cancer as well so need to be observed immediately.
Age
Age is also one of the important risk factors to increase the risk of getting cancer because studies have shown that most of the times women above 40 are diagnosed with this dreadful disease so as women age they should take care of their breasts more comparatively because there are natural factors to increase the risk for women so for this reason women after their 40 are advised to get their breast screened regularly by attending regular sessions of breast screening.
Family History
Family history of breast cancer can be best defined as the woman having two or more relatives diagnosed with breast or other types of cancer as it increases their risk five times more than usual so a woman whose mother, sister or daughter is diagnosed with the breast or other types of cancer should be more careful about their health and life style, however in case of distant relatives as well the risk increases two times as compare to those who don’t have family history.
Personal History
Personal history of the cancer can be defined as the woman who has been diagnosed with breast cancer once in life and after treatment is now living a normal life she is at higher risk to be develop the disease again in life however it is different from recurrence of the cancer as in the recurrence cancer originates at the same place again while in this case cancer develops at some new place so those women should be in constant contact with breasts and their medical professional so that they can take care of their health and breasts in a better way. Women around the globe are advised to be breast aware and they should perform regular breast check in order to stay in touch to indicate the anomalies as the take place.
