Italy’s Matteo Manassero this week continued his record breaking ways when he became the youngest player to ever win an event on the European Tour by securing the Castello Masters title in Valencia by four shots over Spain’s Ignacio Garrido. Already the youngest winner of the British Amateur and the Silver Medal at the Open Championship and the youngest to make a cut at the Masters, Manassero became the second youngest member ever of the European Tour when he turned professional in May at the Italian Open.Golf Accessories Now, Manassero has surpassed the impressive deeds of Danny Lee who at the age of 18 won last year’s Johnnie Walker Classic in Perth. Boyd, who has been in good form in recent weeks seemed set for his breakthrough when he established a two shot lead with seven holes to play.
