Palmistry is also known as chiromancy, and palm reading, and chirology. This is where someone looks at the palm of another individual in order to gain information that will help them to foretell the future of that other individual. This tradition is believed to have started in many different locations, but is now practiced in many forms all over the world. Of course different cultures have different variations of the act of palmistry. Some say that palmistry dates back to Greece 384 to 322 B.C.E. It is rumored that Aristotle discovered a treatise on an altar or Hermes and presented it to Alexander the Great. Alexander took great interest in the lines on the hands of his officers. Because of their beliefs that the lines on the hand are not written for any reason but are actually placed in the palm by heavenly influences, these men popularized the practice of palmistry and even created laws governing it. Some believe that the action of reading palms was started by people from India. It is believed that the Hindu inscribed a book several thousand years ago that is entitled “the Teachings of Valmik Maharashi on Male Palmistry.” This book reportedly has 567 stanzas in it. It is believed that from India the custom of palm reading spread to China. From China it is said that the art spread to other European countries including Greece. Different forms of this type of intuitive information gathering are practiced by many different cultures throughout the world. The people who are skilled in this craft can use the lines that another person has on the palms of their hands to tell the other person about the things that have occurred to them, that are now occurring in their lives, and that are destined to occur in their future. It is said that each person has a line in the palm of their hand that depicts that amount of time they will be alive. People who know how to read and interpret these markings on the skin can tell if a person will live a long life or if their destiny is to live a short one. The different lines on the skin of your hand tell different facts about you. They tell the psychic that has experience in these formations on the skin details of the life you were destined to live. They even tell them details of the love life you were destined to have and the number of children that you were supposed to have. It is utterly amazing to many of us the numerous facts that individuals skilled in this craft can derive from looking at our hands. We look at these surfaces and see wrinkles and marks, and they look at the same surface and tell us all types of information about our lives. Psychic online
