When a man is wearing a collar that frames his face it creates balance and properly focuses on his best features. The current collar trends in both modern and classic menswear include the point collar, spread collar and the tab collar. The point collar is the most popular style you’ll find on dress shirts for men - nine out of ten collars are a variation on the point collar. This is due to the fact that it’s a neutral, timeless style that will appease all kinds of consumers. A classic straight point collar has points that look somewhat like triangles and can be adjusted depending on the neck size of the individual. The straight point collar has a small spread between the collar points, perfect for a standard size tie and average size neck. If there are buttons on the point of a collar, it’s usually fit for a more casual men’s button down shirt; it’s less formal and looks perfectly fine without a tie. The spread collar is the next most popular style you’ll find on fitted men’s dress shirts in men’s clothing stores today. The collar points are further spread apart to make room for larger ties and extravagantly tied knots. The variations you can find on the spread collar are not limited to size, spread space and the length of the points but the curve of the collar. Usually you can only find these collars on custom, bespoke button down shirts as they are statement makers and can be unflattering on the wrong face shape. Finally, the tab collar is meant to highlight a signature look and is certainly not for those that are faint at heart or in style. The tab collar is like a special point collar as there is a tab extending from each point that secures behind the tie. This collar is used to show off and elevate large tie knots. Much like the more ostentatious kinds of spread collars, this style is often only found on customized men’s dress shirts who truly know how strong of a sartorial statement they want to make. The best way to decide which collar is the best is to try on as many styles as possible to ensure you’re putting your best face forward. Jazz albart is going to take a revolution in fashion industry. Men's button down shirt style is a timeless highlight of any contemporary men's wardrobe. Just run out for button down shirt styles and get ready for a trendy look.
