I have been a TaylorMade fan for a long time. But with the introduction of the G10, I made the switch to Ping. I thought the G15 was a great driver but the g20 driver gives me more confidence over the ball. Hit the club consistently longer than most anything else, but without that single +15 yard outlier, and suddenly no one is impressed. Really? I'm about to smack somebody. While the PING G20 does have externally visible weighting, they've managed to tuck it in just enough so that it's not visible at address. And it is making its public debut this week at the PGA Tour's FedEx St. Jude Classic. A game improvement driver for mid-high handicap golfers with high launch & carry characteristics and a large, thin face, the Ping G20 Golf Driver has been adopted by Tour stars like Bubba Watson, Angel Cabrera and Miguel Angel Jimenez. One of the reasons is that Ping's external weighting positions the centre of gravity for high launch and low spin to maximize both distance and accuracy giving this golf club a broad appeal among all handicappers. The driver will feature further development in the innovation started by the G15, most notably the high-balance-point shaft designed to redistribute mass into the clubhead while maintaining the same overall weight and swing weight. Adjustments are great but too many adjustments complicate things more in my opinion. I don't have a team of pros with launch monitors nor the swing to fully take advantage of such an advanced driver. Then again by no means is the Ping not advanced. It is so simple, you just need to step up to the ball and swing! It's also very forgiving on missed hits and allows you to shape the ball if need be. When it comes down to it, it's not the arrow that is the problem, it's the indian. The ping drivers g20 that I bought is 9.5 degree with a Ping TFC 169D stiff shaf.Compare with my previous drivers, I think the g20 driver is special, it own many new features. It can help me to hit the ball higher and longer, with it, my ball also become very straight. It still has work, as do I, but this driver makes it worth putting time in on the range and on the course.
