Italy is a strange country, the son of an enviable history, but today it often seems unable to look at the modern world. In 2010, however, we have something to rejoice, that should set an example for all those small businesses that want to invest in the future in our area. I'm talking about Digitalia, a diffuse transmission through the Internet and can also be accessed live via podcast, which in a few months has emerged as a landmark of the Italian digital community. How did they do? Simple, have invested in content and competence. The three persons who manage the transmission analyze it every week, with an air of critical and ever-conformist, the news from the world of computer / digital offering always an original point of view. The contents precisely, in Italy journalism often simply reports without having to deal with the public, without ever considering the merits of a discussion, or even worse, never give the viewer a hint of critical thinking. Digitalia instead is working in the opposite direction, the news are supplied by the users through the concept of "distributed writing" on Twitter, and the formidable contribution of the transmission is to comment, stimulus, not only of stark reportage. I think this is the trump card in a digital world where information (sometimes of dubious quality) are provided and consumed by all, it is important to deal with an opinion that could become a point of reference and comparison. Much too often we hear of a Web that favors only the massification, stopping to surface phenomena, but today we are going to investigate reality outside of Italy, we see that is taking place more and more personal information, which is based on confidence that that particular source is reliable and commentary (Leo Laporte is the best example, from people you trust.) My congratulations to the drafting of Digitalia and his three speakers, Solerio Franco, Massimo de Santo and Carlo Becchi. Italy needs to share models like this.
