Carlo Augusto Alves Santana is a very popular Rock Guitarist and was born on July 20, 1947. He is a Rock Guitarist of both America and Mexico. Santana kept the name of his band on his surname itself. His band and he himself became famous in the late 1960’s and 1970’s. Carlo explored fusion of jazz, salsa and rock. In late 1990’s Carlo became popular in the world. The list of 100 great guitarists, his name was also registered on number 15 in the magazine referred as Rolling Stone. Eight awards were won by Carlo in 2000 and in 2002 he won award for best pop collaboration. Carlo Santana was given the American citizenship in 1965. He got divorce from his wife on October 19, 2007 and then he got engaged to Cindy Blackman on July 9, 2010. They both got married in December 2010 and are now at present living in Marin County California.
