There are many people these days that have become old pros at utilizing a computer and the mouse, but there are also many that have never touched a computer before. For any person that is new to using a computer and a mouse, you have to find out how to effectively start using a computer mouse to get around easily. For any person that is unsure of what the mouse is, it is a pointing device that has a wire coming off of it that is going to be connected to the computer. It is going to have two buttons you can click, a right click and a left click button. Both of these do various things on the computer, so you need to click anywhere on the desktop to find out what each one lets you do. The left mouse button is the one you click, usually a double click to open up files, folders, computer programs or a web browser to get online. There is also a little ball that rolls easily that is referred to as the scroll wheel. When you use it, the little arrow on the computer screen is going to go where you point it. You can also just move the mouse around on the computer pad to make the arrow pointer move to the location you need it to be. Now that you know how to effectively move the mouse and what everything on it does, you need to learn how to use the mouse to control the little arrow on the computer desktop. When you drag the mouse across the mouse pad to the left arrow is going to go that way to. When you move the mouse to the right, that is the way that the arrow is going to go. If you wish to open something such as, a web browser, you have to place the arrow over the icon and then use the left click button on the mouse to double click, or click it twice to get it open. Using the right click button is going to give you extra tasks that the mouse can help you perform on the computer such as, copy and paste. You just have to remember that using a computer mouse will be a little difficult at first for anyone new to the computer, but it will not be long before you have the hang of it.
