Step 2: Choose Your Cause: On the home page of CarsHelpingCharities.org, consumers will find that there are 8 different causes outlined. These causes are find the cure, support veterans, empower the disabled, provide humanitarian aid, defeat hunger and homelessness, protect the environment, rescue animals and save children! When people would like to donate a vehicle they should start by choosing a cause to donate to. Step 3: Choose Your Charity: Once Americans choose their cause on the Cars Helping Charities website, it's time to choose a charity that does work within that cause. To choose a non for profit to donate an automobile to, people should simply click the cause they are interested in on the Cars Helping Charities home page. Once this is clicked, Americans will be brought to the charitable organization page for charitable organizations within that cause. The first page will outline the featured charitable organization within that cause. Below the description of the featured charitable organization, Americans will find a link to other non for profits in that category that they can donate their motor vehicles to as well. Step 4: Donate Your Car: After people choose their non for profits, it's time to finally donate their automobiles. To do so, Americans should simply fill out the donations form on the right hand side of each page within the Cars Helping Charities website. The form is a simple, self explanatory donations form! Step 5: Get Your Tax Deduction: One your motor vehicle is sold and the cash has been donated to charitable organization, people will receive a tax deduction receipt. If the automobile generated a donation less than $500, the consumers will be given a tax deduction of $500. If the car donation generates proceeds in excess of $500, the Americans will receive a tax deduction equal to the amount of cash generated by their automobile donation! That's it!
