GENERAL INFORMATION: This park is no more a national park. Upon arrival visitors must leave safari vehicles and walking. This is a national park with a difference and is best visited during the dry season, mountain roads and trails have become quite slippery in wet season and across swollen mountain rivers can be dangerous. He must take the guide and armed ranger or on trips. Head ranger came to cost per group per day U.S. $ 10.

There are many trails of various capacities from a few half day more demanding tracks jumped a few days. There is no present of this park and camping is the only option. These sites are basic and necessary to bring your own camping equipment or lease, or use a tour operator who will provide the equipment.

Requirements of the Park: Leave only footprints and take only pictures. There is no hunting allowed in the park and plant samples can not be removed. Tanzania, vehicles must comply with several parks, and must also comply with the park hiking trails. This is strictly enforced, so do not try to leave the road. Camp fires are also allowed. Like other national parks in Tanzania, visitors must leave 7 am, campers campsites must be present or to enter into agreements with the park warden. The park encourages, where possible, visitors to support the local community.

ACCESS TO THE PARK: Driving south-west of Dar es Salaam takes about six hours to reach the park gate. Turn to the south of the main Dar / Iringa Road Mikumi town and follow the signs to the Ifakara and UMNP, cutting Ruaha River tar road becomes a gravel road, 24 km away and not Mang'ula Udzungwa office is marked on the right. Park as well as private charter flight from Dar es Salaam, train and regular bus service.

There is no present of this park and camping is the only option. These sites are basic and necessary to bring your own camping

BIODIVERSITY: Park protects 2,500 species of plants and 160 of them are used locally as medicinal plants. There are more than 300 animal species, including 18 vertebrates, only found in the Eastern Arc Mountain range. zebra and gazelle passing through the search for water and patiently predators follow these grazers; Tarangire also boasts hundreds of species. Lake Manyara National Park, where the tree climbing lions sprawl on stout limbs of acacia. Great Arusha National Park nestling against Mount Meru, lakes Natron and Eyasi are soda lakes, charming as they are remote and Olduvai Gorge known as the cradle of humanity, so come and let us make life safaris in Northern Tanzania. If you are lucky, you can place recently discovered Sanja Mangabey and Iringa Red Colobus is a lot of tropical forests.

The park has a rich social and cultural history, which is possible for visitors to explore, including an abandoned Mbatwa Mwanaluvele Salt Village and the cave. These sites demonstrate shifting patterns of human settlement in the Northwest region of the park.
