This small village, although predominantly a farming community, has a few of Canada's defined history operating by its veins. The [debatable] secret building of the four-storey nuclear fallout Diefenbunker, had been a huge Federal Government construction project completed in 1961. Then part of Canadian Cold War history, a tour by this concert andmetal belowground fortress might stimulate your senses with the intrigue of espionage, spies and covert operations. One plane that draws a great deal of up-close attention is the prop-version replica kit of the Canadian Snowbird Team CT-114 Tutor aircraft, down to the paint. One bi-plane had vintage enthusiasts crowding around for a nearer search. Wow! Beautifully lacquered timber throughout the cockpit basically the wings. Many photo chances everywhere you turned.
