After a crime has been committed, the first authority to study the crime scene rests in the hand of state police department. Physical evidence Physical evidences can be defined as physical objects that are found at the crime scene like broken door, glass, flat tire and others. It also includes murder weapons like knives, guns, or fired bullets and others that can act as solid evidences. These physical evidences leave behind various traces as well as impression of the offender like fingerprints or tire marks that can act as great leads for private investigations. Scientific evidences For effective investigation, the investigators take the help of the forensic to study various clues. For instance, the blood samples collected from the cloth or carpet are kept in a safe place and studied in the lab to get DNA evidences. The hair fibers collected from the crime scene can equally help to get close to the offender. The autopsy carried out on the body provide huge set of information about the time of the death, possible instrument used or the distance of the victim form the offender and so on.
