In the recent times, some ‘conscious’ automakers across the globe are striving hard to create a nature-friendly environment for the present and generations to come by adapting new and innovating technologies. However these sorts of methodologies and concerns are so far restricted only to the developed countries. But now a multinational auto giant, Ford Motors with its expertise of more than 100 years will be seen with a momentous revolution in India when it will launch its internationally acclaimed EcoBoost engine. The 1.0L EcoBoost 3-cylinder turbocharged engines are structured to deliver more power and torque of larger motors resulting in 20 percent better mileage and smoke a big 15 percent less greenhouse emissions against the same power-trains. There are all chances that this engine will come in two different power outputs of 100 PS and 120 PS, which is much ahead compared to the existing diesel engines. Currently as per the reports, Ford will bring in three vehicles with its magical 1.0L EcoBoost power train that comprise of Ford EcoSport, Ford B-Max compact MPV and face-lifted Ford Fiesta in the country. Whereas, Ford Focus hatchback has already done this engine and is up for the grabs at the European markets. The coming years will see all the models of Ford Motors below 1.6L dressed up in 1.0L EcoBoost globally including India. First to come in the country will be Ford EcoSport compact SUV, which was unveiled at the 2012 Delhi Expo, by the last quarter of current calendar year. The futuristic appearing vehicle will change the way India looks at SUV as it will boast a small 1000cc EcoBoost petrol motor that will churn out a standard output of 1.6L engine. Followed by B-Max compact MPV, which will face Maruti Ertiga, in the new segment created to provide the comfort and driving of hatch with convenience of a utility vehicle. And lastly, amid 2013 Fiesta will see an upgrade that will be re-launched with a new heart in the form of 1.0L EcoBoost engine.
