There are people who have powers of intuition that are more receptive than the powers the majority of us have. These people are considered to be psychics and are sometimes called a medium. They are often capable of communicating with the dead and communicating with the guardian angels that are sent to guide us through life. A medium is sometimes used by law enforcement officials to help solve cases that have gone cold. These people are especially useful to the law enforcement officials in cases of missing persons and in solving some of those types of cases. The only problem with the medium and their helping in these cases is the medium cannot always force the visions and the intuitions to happen. This can be very frustrating for the medium, and for the victim’s family, and for the law enforcement officials. Most of the time the law enforcement officers do not contact the medium but the medium has a revelation and they contact the police. They may not even know the actual name of the victim or whether the crime was actually committed but the details were revealed to them in some way through a dream or something of this nature. When someone with these gifts have worked with the police on several cases and been beneficial in bringing information and closure the police will begin to trust and respect the person’s intuitions and visions. These are the psychics that the police call when they have a missing person they are desperate to find. They know the person has abilities to perceive things they cannot and they call them on the odd chance that they will have an intuition concerning the case they are working on. There are many mediums in the world that were born with these powers of perception. There are also many people in the world that do not possess the powers of perception but will attempt to make people think they have them in an attempt to scam others for money. This gives the truly gifted individual a bad name that they did not earn. The problem is that it is very hard to tell the ones that were born with a gift and the ones that are trying to trick people out of their money. One way that you can establish the difference in the two is the fact that when a true medium offers their assistance to the law enforcement community they do so without asking for monetary compensation. These people also do not ask individuals for money on the premises that they can help them find out facts about loved ones that have been brutalized or have gone missing. You can also trust your powers of perception to choose a talent from a sham.
