Step 2: Choose Your Cause: On the home page of CarsHelpingCharities.org, Americans will find that there are 8 different causes outlined. These causes are find the cure, support veterans, empower the disabled, provide humanitarian aid, defeat hunger and homelessness, protect the environment, rescue animals and save children! When people would like to donate a motor vehicle they should start by choosing a cause to donate to. Step 3: Choose Your Charity: Once Americans choose their cause on the Cars Helping Charities website, it's time to choose a charity that does work within that cause. To choose a charitable organization to donate a car to, consumers should simply click the cause they are interested in on the Cars Helping Charities home page. Once this is clicked, Americans will be brought to the charity page for charities within that cause. The first page will outline the featured charity within that cause. Below the description of the featured charity, Americans will find a link to other charitable organizations in that category that they can donate their automobiles to as well. Step 4: Donate Your Car: After consumers choose their charitable organizations, it's time to finally donate their cars. To do so, people should simply fill out the donations form on the right hand side of each page within the Cars Helping Charities website. The form is a simple, self explanatory donations form! Step 5: Get Your Tax Deduction: One your automobile is sold and the money has been donated to charity, consumers will receive a tax deduction receipt. If the automobile generated a donation less than $500, the Americans will be given a tax deduction of $500. If the vehicle donation generates proceeds in excess of $500, the people will receive a tax deduction equal to the amount of money generated by their automobile donation! That's it!
