Police in the UK newly foiled an effort to kidnap and behead a British Muslim Soldier. Links aim towards Osama Bin Laden. This is simply another brutal blow for democracy in the western world. Now Muslim soldiers in Britain are fearful of such moves and tries to destabilise their communities. Families of the soldiers are naturally worried. It means we're regularly keeping a watchful eye on almost everything you do - safety and protection has become the norm. The tragic factor is, because if the kidnap and beheading wasn't tragic enough, that the entire task was willing to be shown online. The attempt follows an appeal by the Muslim cleric Omar Bakri Mohammed last year to kidnap a British soldier in Iraq or Afghanistan. he sees all Muslim British soldiers because non-believers. The view is that Muslim soldiers that kill other Muslims are traitors. The ultimate aim, aside from apparent publicity, was to scare Muslims from joining the British Army.
