Evolved as a result of cultural interactions with several societies, Indian cuisine is known all over the world for its unique blend of spices, herbs, vegetables and fruits. Indian dinner recipes comprise of vast variety of dishes suiting the bill for one and all. Rich in taste, color and aroma, these dinner recipes are bound to sway you off your feet. If looking out for some amazing quick recipes for dinner, have a look! • Chicken curry in coconut milk: One of the most exotic Indian dinner recipes, it is fast and easy to cook. Tastes amazing when served with your favorite bread or rice.

Ingredients: 1. 2 large chicken breasts (cooked and cut in dices) 2. Chopped onion- 1 number 3. Olive oil- 2 tablespoons 4. Water 5. Coconut milk- 14 oz 6. Tomato paste- 6 tablespoons 7. Curry powder- 2 tablespoons 8. Garlic powder- ½ tablespoon 9. Ginger( grounded)- 1 tablespoon 10. Garam masala powder- 2 tablespoons 11. Salt to taste Procedure: 1. Simmer onion in hot oil in a frying pan till translucent. 2. Add to it curry powder, garam masala powder, garlic and ginger and stir well. 3. Add chicken to the curry and mix well scraping the spices off from the pan. 4. Simmer till the meat is well heated. 5. Blend the coconut milk well in the pan. 6. Add the remaining ingredients and cook well for 15 minutes. 7. Add tomato sauce to thicken the consistency and serve hot with your favorite bread or rice. • Spicy Smashed lintels: If you are searching for one of those quick recipes for dinner, nothing can be better than smashed lentils cooked in Indian spices. Known for its amazing flavor and warmth, this Indian recipe is bound to impress all.

Ingredients: 1. Lentils( rinsed and drained well) – 2 cups 2. Olive oil to cook 3. Red onion- ¼ number 4. Garlic- 4 number 5. Garam masala- 2 tablespoons 6. Cilantro- ½ cup 7. Salt to taste 8. Pepper Procedure: 1. Rinse the lentils and drain them dry. 2. Chop cilantro and mince the shallots and garlic well. 3. Cook shallots and garlic well in olive oil in a heated pan until soft and golden. 4. Add the lentils and garam masala powder. 5. Add cilantro and cook well. 6. Add about 3 cups of water and turn the flame high. 7. Boil and then simmer well for about 20 minutes. 8. Season with pepper and salt and mash well with a fork or spoon. 9. Serve hot.
