Microsoft on Tuesday urged enterprises to apply the Windows 8 operating system that it will introduce in desktop computers, notebook computers and tablet PCs. Microsoft executives also described the security, virtualization, management, and improved performance and stressed that Windows 8 was not only able to run Metro-style applications, but also to run applications written for Windows 7. Leblond also demonstrated how to use Visual Studio 2012 programming tools to make Metro applications, and pointed out that developers can use their programming skills and knowledge.
