Barcode is the combination of lines that is used to represent the information about any product, location or any person. Because of the many limitations associated with barcode a newer code called Quick Response code has been introduced. Originally quick response code was in use in japan automotive industry to locate and identify the cars in the factory but this code became popular very quickly and now it is in use in many countries including America, Hong Kong and UK. QR code was first introduced by Toyota in 1994 but because of its high speed many other countries are using the same code. Quick response code belongs to the family of two dimensional codes and it is normally represented in the form of square. The code has a very good data storage and error correcting capability. Data is stored from right to left in a zigzag pattern and its decoding is also performed in the similar fashion. The Quick Response code is not much popular yet but some applications for android are available that can decrypt or encrypt the code. But at the same time this code is very popular in Japan and even government is using it while issuing the visas.
