1. Make sure you protect it with a case. Cases can be purchased from many different vendors and there are a wide variety of styles and models which offer varying degrees of protection. It is simply up to you to decide how protected you want your device to be and what you find to be the most aesthetically pleasing design. 2. When not in use, keep the device in a secure space, ideally on a flat surface so that it cannot be accidentally knocked off a desk onto the floor. 3. Do not store the device underneath any heavy objects. Ideally, do not store it underneath anything at all. 4. If you have young children then ensure that they are supervised at all times when using the device as we all know how excitable children can be when met with something fun and entertaining. You would not want your child to accidentally break it while playing. 5. Keep the device away from liquids and if it there are liquids near it, make sure they are in a sealed container to ensure that should any mishaps occur the device will not end up covered in liquid which will most certainly do some serious damage. 6. Keep the device out of reach of the beloved family pet as they may mistake it for a new toy and cause irrevocable damage to it. Teeth and animal saliva are most certainly not things you want coming into contact with your touchscreen device. 7. Establish ground rules for your older children, ensuring that they each have an allotted time in which they may use it in order to head off any potential mishaps as we all know how siblings can be when it comes fighting over something the other ones want. If you set up ground rules and make your children stick to them then they cannot argue when it is time to give the device up. 8. If you take the device out with you when you go out ensure that it securely stashed away in your bag, safely out of the reach of any thieves who may see an easy opportunity to steal your prized possession. Do not give them any opportunity. So there you have it, stick by these eight pointers and there is no way your handheld touchscreen device will possibly be able to come to any harm.
