Since I was a little girl, I believed in Buddhism, for my mother was a loyal Buddhist and she made a great influence on me. So we would often visit Buddhist temples. When I was eight years old, I have a good friend, who was a blonde girl. Her mother died because of medical negligence, so her two little sisters and she had to live with her father. Although she was only two years older than me, she was much taller. Since we met each other, she was very kind and treated me well. Also her two sisters were fond of playing with me and regarded me as their sister. Once we talked about her mother and I asked that why they didn’t ask for hospitals’ compensation. She said they could actually, but her father was unwilling to take advantage of his wife’s misfortune to get rich. So they gave up. Unlike me, all of her families were loyal Christians and she was especially crazy about going to church and preaching her religion to me. Once a time, I got patient and said that although I was a Buddhist, I hated Christianity, and I didn’t believe we would still lead a life after died in the heaven or hell. Upon hearing my words, she began to cry unexpectedly. At first, I thought it was my words that scared her, so I apologized to her guiltily. But she cried and said to me that she was very afraid of losing me in the heaven. Later on, she moved and I lost touch with her. From then on, I never made good friends like her. Although I have grown up, I never forget her during these years. To be honest, I am a bit repentant for what I did in my childhood. Now I realize that people have their own religion, and we should respect them. People in many western counties believe in Christianity and they go to church every Sunday sincerely, which may be just as good for you as crossword puzzles. For them, the church is a sacred place for them to pray for the peaceful life. Hence, they express love not only to their families, friends or even pets at their home.
