After three decades of operating Grupo Vidanta, he retired from his executive position to focus more on philanthropic works. In 2005, Moran formally established the Grupo Vidanta Foundation which is an organization dedicated to the betterment of Latin American countries. What you have here is a foundation that is dedicated to resolving the majority of political, economic, and social issues that are being faced by people in Latin American countries. Economic improvement is something that Moran is optimistic about when it comes to Latin America. The condition of the economy in Latin America has really been disappointing. Even if they have the ability to succeed, more often than not Latin America falls behind compared to other countries. The only way that development can be possible in Latin American countries is if the inequalities and social issues are addressed. Improving the educational system is really essential when it comes to this. As much as possible, education should not be taken for granted. Although there are plenty of things that have to be addressed, there is still a chance for Latin America to succeed. In a way to improve their economy, Brazil decided to host the Summer Olympics which is a great move. According to Moran, hopefully these efforts will be beneficial.
