Are you in need of hormone therapy? Well then, it is better to stay updated than bite your nails later on. Contrary to popular belief, female hormone therapy is not the only available option around. There are a vast number of medical conditions which require patients to undergo these therapies. The list includes hormonal deficiencies, intersex conditions, anti-ageing, cancer etc. The therapy essentially helps people to get back to normalcy and resume their daily activities without problems. Keeping such considerations in mind, let us analyze the conditions where patients require these treatments. XXY syndrome or Klinefelter syndrome is one of the major intersex conditions where the person affected is asked to undergo hormonal therapies. According to research, one in every 650 males actually suffers from the condition. . Turner syndrome is another major intersex condition. Under this condition, there are little or no X chromosomes in a human female. The condition, it goes without saying, has no cure at all. However, estrogen and growth hormone therapy is known to minimize the effects. Features of the condition in females include short stature, low hairlines, low ears and infertility. Since the disease assaults the ovaries, there is no menstruation. Heart disease, hyperthyroidism, vision problems and diabetes are certain other health related concerns here. . Growth hormone deficiency is a major problem that torments countless adults and newborns. In infants, especially, it primarily manifests as a condition known as hypoglycemia. This, in a majority of the cases, results in poor growth. Though rarely seen in adults, yet poor bone densities and low body mass are also some of the most apparent symptoms of the condition. The problem is further marked by symptoms like anxiety, depression and poor memory. All this can be partially cured through effective hormone therapy.
