Tourism in Rome - Piazza Navona

Travel & Tourism
Rome thrives outdoors. Naturally, it is obvious that Rome has a lot of museums, restaurants and churches, theaters and many other types of active cover. But the places to visit Rome that really shine are many places.

"Piazza" can be translated as meaning public square. However, the squares of Rome are unique from other cities that are famous because they are real places for lovers of outdoor art to meet and enjoy such beauty together.

Probably the best location of Bernini "Fountain of the Four Rivers" is in Navona. Four sculptures of care Bernini's students run artistically arranged around a rock mass in the center of the source that supports an obelisk .. One of the impressive sculpture called "Ganges" was created by Claude Poussin who became well known a teacher too.

This source is alive with a variety of life as a lion, a palm tree, a sea monster and a host of other figures all mixed up with art around the center of the source.

When this source was created, was so expensive that Rome was forced to demand bread taxes to finance the work. This led to loud complaints from all levels of Roman society. The scandal is now part of the tradition of this work, now the Romans and tourists indulge relax and enjoy a coffee in the bustling metropolis that happens.

You only have to cross the square to find the mighty god Triton riding a dolphin powerful in the Fountain of the Moor. This is an ideal place to watch locals and tourists who wander simply enjoying the Roman sunshine. You will have a lot of things to do besides take in one of the delicious outdoor fountains of Rome.

For example, scattered throughout the many cafes and restaurants Romans are dozens of commercial kiosks. Many Italian artists point of the square, ready to draw his portrait to give it a nice souvenir of your visit.

There is no shortage of nightlife that goes on and on until sunrise. You can always find a mime, a beggar, an artist, as well as many Roman tourists and locals all enjoying the oval plaza together.

The place is ideal for public life, since it was built around what is called a former circus. This is not a live animal show, but an intersection of many streets in a circular area.

Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy a Tartufo at Tre Scalini while there. Another option is to take in the Caffe della Pace, the oldest operating bar in Rome, which is not far. The atmosphere here is a delight as is the flavor of Campari. This will put you in a good mood to take a visit to the Church of S. Agnese.

One such source is the Fountain of the Boilermakers or the "Fontana dei Calderai" which later became known as the Fountain of Neptune. This work takes the name of sea creatures, at the next level its various inhabitants of the sea as seahorses, sea nymphs, an octopus and the great sea god Neptune.

The pink marble building that was used to create this magnificent fountain which was also used for door jambs in San Pedro.

Another option is to enjoy a walk to the location between the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, where you can listen to some relaxing classical music in the Piazza Sant'Eustachio. Also within walking distance you can find a bus with guides if your next destination is a tour of the Pantheon.

Finally, when deciding to travel to Rome , is likely to have a place to stay. If you do not have family or friends who can provide a stay to your trip, then check out the ads and offers to the apartments available for rent in the area.

Generally, hotels in Rome, tend to be more expensive and a fairly low level, unless you are planning on staying in a hotel of 5 stars (are more expensive, but the level is very good).
