Funky coloured kids plimsoles My son came home one day begging for plimsolls. Apparently his best friend and his siblings came into the last day of school rocking these funky summer shoes and my son, as excited as he gets, absolutely loved them and was determined to get a pair of his own. Seeing as the weather finally gave us a break and summer 2012 had finally begun, I thought sure, why not. The kid needs some new shoes anyway. But as I searched for kids plimsoles online, I was bombarded with websites whose shoes were on offer. I never knew there were so many companies who were specialising in these summery shoes! There were a few brand names which seemed to pop up very frequently. Toms, Asos, Ella, and Flossy; all said to have an amazing range of funky children’s plimsolls. The Toms website included a large variety of kids plimsolls, ranging from glorious colours to exciting patterns. Personally I absolutely loved their range of cute little crochet plimsoles, and a few adorable sparkly ones that were both listed in the wedding section of the website. Though of course these kind of pumps are more suitable for young girls and unfortunately my little girl is a little too young to fit into regular children’s plimsolls. Ella’s range on the other hand was a little less excessive, yet there were a number of modest and funky coloured ones in their collection. After hours of searching and my son being unsatisfied with most of the colours I showed him, I came upon the Flossy website. As soon as my son laid eyes on their new range of kids plimsolls which were duo-coloured, he immediately decided it was those plimsoles that he wanted. And for a modest price of £15.95, I wasn’t complaining. I ordered a pair of Flossy’s Martian kids plimsoles, a lovely bright blue coloured shoe with red seams along the top. With their free 48h courier offer, the plimsoles were delivered very quickly. My son immediately put them on and he’s been trotting around in his funky coloured kids plimsoles ever since. At first, I never thought plimsoles would be very durable, let alone for children! Yet my son has come home after playing football, jumping in massive puddles, and climbing trees, and the shoe hasn’t had any harm done to it at all! Well, apart from dried up mud that is. But fortunately Flossy thought of that little disaster and made their entire collection of childrens plimsoles machine washable. So whenever my son comes running back in after having jumped around in mud puddles, I just throw them in the washing and they come out good as new!
