It operates at a wavelength of 1310 nm or 1550 nm. It provides a transmission distance of up to 80 km and an output power range from -5 to -7 dBm. Modulation frequencies include 270 Hz, 1 kHz, 2 kHz and CW. This high performance talk set has a FP- LD emitter and FC/PC optical connector. It also provides a large back lit LCD display and low battery power indication. It is powered by a rechargeable battery providing 5 hours continuous operation and has an adaptor power supply as well. In addition, online communications are also available when used together with an optical clip-on coupler. This multi-function optical talk set belongs to GAO’s family of Optical Telephones.
