The Beverly Hillbillies This movie is actually a remake of an epic TV sitcom starring Jim Varney, Cloris Leachman, Lily Tomlin, Lea Thompson, and many other actors. Varney plays Jed, whose missed shot during hunting penetrates the ground and he discovers that he has struck black gold - oil! He adopts a richie-rich lifestyle and moves to Beverly Hills with his family. From a tiny shack to a huge mansion - the transition is huge! However, they end up staying there and it is their neighbors who do the adjusting. Footloose Released in 1984, this movie stars Kevin Bacon, Lori Singer, and John Lithgow. Bacon is a city boy who moves to a strict and conservative small town where rock music and dancing are a no-no. He decides to go against the system by playing music and dancing. He organizes a school dance and thus he brings about a change in attitude of the town's residents and his small gang of new friends. Funny Farm When Chevy Chase stars in a movie, you can't expect anything which will not be rib-tickling. Chase will not disappoint you! His character in the movie retires to the country to pen the Great American Novel, which was his lifelong dream.
