When we come across difficulties in our daily life, we should be optimistic. People who are optimistic see the radiance of hope, but people who are pessimistic see the omen of tragedy. Lee Great, a disabled person realized that optimism is a gianttreasure of our life, and people who are positive are easier to achieve success than those who are negative, for they have great hopes for the future. Therefore, he learnt to be optimistic and smiled to the hard life. As a thirty-four-year-old man, Lee Great was born in a poor family of 5 people, but there were 3 disabled people. His mother and he were physically handicapped, and his son was aurally disabled. Facing such misfortunate life, he took optimistic attitude towards life and challenged difficulties bravely. Hence, Lee Great worked much harder than common people and studied agricultural science and technology hard. Nowadays, he is able to operate agricultural machinery and even cultivate the farm by skillfully using handle of walking tractor. Unlike many traditional farmers, he believes “no pains, no gains”, then he was diligent t o change his fate. Three years ago, he contracted a 15 mu of fishpond in the village. In order to walk conveniently, he walked on the muddy road and mended it. Unexpectedly, a spacious and neat road was repaired well by him. Although he didn’t make money by contracting the fishpond, he remained confident and optimistic. At the end of last year, the government donated 30000 RMB and he contracted barren mountains to develop farming in the village. He developed two 35-mu fishponds to breed freshwater fish and gooses. Finally he raised 8 groups of gooses one year and every group had over 1000 gooses. Nowadays, he relies on his hard work to get rid of poverty and become wealthy. Besides, his breeding industry has established and he becomes the renowned breeding expert. When hearing his laughter, we were infected with his optimistic spirit. Yes, in our life optimism is like a sharp arrow and will split the stumbling block, and people who are optimistic will fly over the high mountain and perilous peak like tercel. Besides, optimism will be like a boat and carried people to the destination of success.
