A fire hose is most commonly used by the fire brigade but a fire hose can also be used for a wide range of other industrial applications. Inside the Fire Hose is a black synthetic rubber lining which will greatly lower the friction loss. As well as being tough and hard wearing fire hose is very flexible for ease of use. With a fire hose being made from synthetic materials it makes it rot proof and immune to mould and bacteria so there is no risk of damage to the hose from these factors. When it comes to choosing a fire hose and swivel joints there are many different sizes to choose from. Fire hose comes in various grades, colours, widths and with or without couplings depending on what the fire hose is going to be used for. There is also a vast choice of swivel joints for different uses. Swivel joints are used in many different industrial and commercial applications. They are used in fire hose reels, loading arms, sewer rods, wastewater treatment equipment and various other items of process machinery and equipment. Swivel joints make moving fluids easy as they allow fire hose and other types of pipes and hoses to rotate with ease without damaging any part of the system. A fire hose and swivel joints can be used in industry to transfer water, mineral oils, lubricated air, steam, natural gas and other liquids safely from one location to another. Companies who sell fire hose are also likely to sell swivel joints and they are commonly used together.
