Word strategy is very widely used across all the fields of interest across the world. This expression in its meaning is especially important for business because without appropriate business strategy in the conditions of free market economy nobody can compete. Businessmen and managers are using expression strategy daily, frequently speaking for instance about marketing strategy, business development strategy, FDI strategy , or sustainable development strategy. Every good manager, director or if we use the broader definition stakeholder understands that good strategy is essential for every company or every business. We can apply the same approach when we are speaking about strategies of countries. Countries which are trying to rich the sustainable economic growth and increase the living standard of people have to create and implement sustainable development strategies to rich this goal. One of the most important strategies which they have to apply is the FDI strategy which answers the question how to attract foreign investors, who are in the environment of globalised economies essential feature of the economy, mainly for small open economies. The appropriate FDI strategy which is able to attract foreign direct investors can attract the big number of key investors who will create lots of work opportunities and help the country in the fight with the unemployment. The inflow of foreign investors also helps to create international environment inside the national economy which attracts even more foreign investors which helps to start the whole multiplication process which is essential for each economy to grow. Every country should take to the consideration the importance of the appropriate and very well designed FDI strategy and should not underestimate it because it can be a key factor of the future economic growth.
